Welcome to the Governor's Land Typhoons Swim Team! This is the registration for the upcoming 2026 swim season. The registration fee is $150 (includes team operating expenses and league-wide, mandatory liability/medical insurance coverage). There is a $25 discount for each additional sibling. Ages 15-18 may register for FREE!! 

To participate in the Typhoons swim team, the youth must be able to swim 25 meters (one length of the pool) without lane line assistance, in a reasonable amount of time. The swimmer must be able to submerge independently and float on their back for 5-8 seconds.  In addition, they must have the maturity to practice in an organized group setting. 

Typhoons in Training swimmers must have independent mobility in the water (i.e., the ability to safely reach the edge of the pool on their own while swimming) but do not need to know any technical strokes.  The swimmer should have "water comfort" (e.g., comfort with the entire face underwater, ability to dive and retrieve objects in the pool, and properly kick and float without the benefit of a flotation device).  

Coaches evaluate the ability of each swimmer to determine appropriate placement.
